Exactly, it can be anticipated... and you can tell when it happens... You see groups and they dont aggro on you (because you aren't really there), you see the mob you thought you passed through sitting in a ball not following... etc

It can be but a lot of the time your inventory may be full by the end of chaos planes so it may not be worth it. I personally think bone pits is very boring so I never bother.

Regarding your first picture there is a video somewhere with a guy triggering traps without getting hit. You run kind of close to the serpent but do not touch him and then run back right away and the traps should activate. Once they are done doing their thing run past and make sure to smile.

My inventory is never more than half full after my plains run. Though i would not reccomend doing bone pits, it is quite boring and its more efficient to do another plains run.
Also, his picture was of a complete bodyblock of the path. I have several pics myself of similar, and regardless of traps or not, you won't get past that. The behemoths actually bodyblock the amount that their size indicates. Its similar to being 8 man bodyblocked across one of the bridges in halls. No freaking way, besides shadowsteps, which most of us don't carry.

I'm doing this on an Ele with 9+3+1 in Fire, 9+3 in Energy Storage (Too lazy to change armor from Raptors =P), 12 in Shadow Arts, 3 in Deadly, with Essences and Golden Eggs/Candy Corns. I'm using the Lava/MoR version.The only problems I'm having are things like the Behemoth spawns, so this works fine on an Ele. It may be more cost effective to make a Sin in the long run, though.
Anyways, how does the multiplicative stacking from the Glyph of Swiftness, Deadly Paradox, and Essence of Celerity exactly work?

if you get a really crappy behemoth spawn and cant fit thru without hitting a trap...one option is to sit there with a shortbow, interrupting all the traps he attempts for a couple minutes (since traps expire after 90 seconds) and then stroll past unharmed.
btw awesome thread im gonna try this tomorrow if i get bored enough to farm =)

Behemoths use Whirling Defense, so you might not have that much luck interrupting. I tried, and it didn't work.

In one of my runs there were two charged blacknesses right in front of the "gate" leading to the chaos plains (after running the behemoths between the two final groups). They didn't even move. I went through them all using dash and they occasionally broke aggro, but they didn't go back to the place where they previously spawned.
This made things go a lil bit slower but it didn't really bother me.

Occasionally? 5+ ecto?
I've gotten 4 runs IN A ROW where the spawns have totally blocked the door. Before that I did 2 runs, with 2 ecto then 3 ecto. Before that, I got nothing for 2 runs.
I have lost SO much more money that I'm making. Why am I getting 3-4 Behemoths blocking EVERY SINGLE RUN?

this happens when your run is too slow. Normally you should pass those blacknesses while they're still patrolling.
I use [[flame djinn's haste] now instead of [[dash] and apart from the unlucky behemoth spawn it works like a charm. 40 ecto after 3 days of casual runs when i feel like it.

Flame Djinns = 25% buff, so shouldn't Dark Escape work just as well. As for its use, how do you NOT trigger traps running over them? Every time I even try, I just die instantly from full health.

Lourens - Try to avoid them from large distance as much is possible, or if there isn't any way around, use Dash of another speed buff. Then you have good chance roun out.
fenix - bad luck, i get ~5,5e per run (30min) and get blocked way every ~4 run. Sometimes it look as blocked, but you can run through
